How do points actually work?
You earn points every night a guest stays at your home, and spend them to stay at any member's home, no need to swap at the same time, or even with the same person. As a guide, 1 point is worth about ₹10 of stay value, and points never expire while your membership is active.
What is a simultaneous swap?
You and another member stay in each other's homes over the same dates. No points change hands. You simply trade stays. It is the classic home exchange, and it costs nothing beyond your membership.
Is my home protected during a swap?
Damage during a stay can be reported from My Trips once the stay is complete, with a description and an amount. The report stays attached to the trip so host and guest both see it. SwapGhar does not currently underwrite insurance cover; any cash settlement is agreed between host and guest.
How are members verified?
Every member submits a government ID before they can list a home or request a stay. The Verified badge is granted after review by the SwapGhar team. Reviews can only be left after a completed stay by a real exchange partner, no bought ratings.
Do I need SwapGhar Plus to swap homes?
No. The Free plan lets you browse every home, keep one active listing and hold one active exchange request at a time. Plus removes the request limit, allows unlimited listings and includes priority support.
